The Tast’Age course is a brand‑new vocational training programme designed to tackle the pressing issue of malnutrition in older adults. Building on, and perfectly complementing, existing courses, Tast’Age delivers a comprehensive curriculum that addresses both well‑known challenges and unexplored specificities of nutrition in later life.
By uniting professionals across care, healthcare, medico‑social services, catering, meal delivery and home‑care sectors with their employers, VET providers and the wider innovation ecosystem, the Tast’Age course bridges the gap between day‑to‑day practice and the latest products and services. Participants will gain hands‑on expertise in:
- Identifying and preventing malnutrition in older people
- Developing creative, person‑centred meal solutions
- Leveraging innovative tools to streamline care processes
Piloting experience
This resource of the Tast’Age project is dedicated to preparing and implementing the face-to-face piloting sessions of the training materials developed in Work Package 2 and launching the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on malnutrition in seniors.
The piloting sessions of the Tast’Age Project focus on training to address malnutrition and other nutritional issues among seniors. This initiative is designed to empower caregivers, healthcare professionals, social workers and family members with the knowledge and skills to combat nutritional issues in elderly populations effectively.
The main results of the piloting session involve:
1. The testing of the training modules as face-to-face and online courses – 2 pilots in each partner country, offering training to professionals
2. The preparation and launch of the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course)
3. The short- and long-term pilot training sessions evaluation and adjustment
