We are excited to share the latest updates from TAST’AGE, our initiative dedicated to address the critical issue of malnutrition in older people. As we continue our mission to enhance the well-being of seniors, we are committed to providing professionals in the field with the tools and knowledge they need to make a significant impact.

THE TAST’AGE VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME

In September, the partners met in Lisbon, Portugal, for a Learning Training Teaching Activity to test the practical activities that each partner has developed for the training. On this occasion, we have also reviewed the theoretical contents for improvements.  

The TAST’AGE innovative vocational training comprises of 7 modules covering topics like seniors and nutritionnutritional recommendationsfood supplementsat-home vs. in residencies for seniorsprediction and prevention, the role of the caregivers and more. The training is designed for professionals working around older people (healthcare professionals, medico-social professionals, homecare services, VET providers).

Médical Domicile

Médical Domicile (Medical home) is a French company specialising in home care and home medical equipment. The company offers a wide range of medical products to patients, for sale or rent. Its aim is to accompany and improve the daily life of patients. MD offers a wide range of medical equipment, such as adapted cutlery, so that the elderly can eat properly. The adapted cutlery is light and ergonomic and allows the elderly to eat on their own and therefore to be independent.

Buddha’s Awakening Acai, Banana and Strawberry

Buddha’s Awakening Acai, Banana and Strawberry is designated as a superfood. It has a given energy value, high concentrations of essential nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, enzymes and/or antioxidant phytochemicals, 100% organic ingredients.

Docandu

The Docandu application part of the captain «Δώσε Βάρος στα σημάδια» (Give weight to the marks) is a smart application to control malnutrition. The application uses the power of technology via completing an easy and short questionnaire to assess any possible suspicion that the person is suffering from malnutrition.

THE TAST’AGE DIGITAL TOOLBOX OF BEST PRACTICES

The Tast’Age partners have also begun work on the last main result. We are actively engaged in the collaborative development of an innovative digital toolbox aimed at advancing best practices in the realms of nutrition, prevention, and solutions to combat malnutrition among individuals aged over 65.
